What is INVIVNI Broadband Phone Service?
INVIVNI Broadband Telephone Services allows you to make telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. INVIVNI allows you to call anyone who has a telephone number - including local, long-distance, mobile and international numbers.
INVIVNI Broadband Telephone Services convert the voice signal from your telephone into data packets that travel over the Internet. It then converts the data packets back at the other end so you can speak to anyone with a regular phone number.
Can I Keep My Current Number?
Yes. If you would like to keep your existing telephone number, you can transfer it to your INVIVNI service. When you sign up, you will be assigned a temporary number that you can use to test the service. Upon your approval, INVIVNI will provide you with the forms needed to transfer your number. INVIVNI does not automatically transfer your numbers. Numbers are only transferred after written permission is given to do so.
How Can I Place an INVIVNI Call?
You can place a call by picking up your phone and dialing the number. An adaptor connects the phone to your existing high-speed Internet connection. The call goes over the Internet through INVIVNI and then on to a local telephone company.
Is There a Difference Between Making a Local Call and a Long-Distance Call?
NO. INVIVNI offers unlimited FREE long-distance in the United States and Canada. Just pick up the phone and dial.
INVIVNI also permits you to select an area code different from the area in which you live. This means you may not incur long-distance charges if you call a number in your area code regardless of geography. It also means that people who call you may incur long-distance charges depending on their area code and service.
IF I have INVIVNI Broadband Telephone Service, Who Can I Call?
You will be able to call any phone number anywhere in the world. The call can be made to a local number, a mobile phone, to a long-distance number or an international number. You may even utilize the service to speak with more than one person at a time. The person you are calling does not need any special equipment, just a phone.
What Are the Advantages of INVIVNI Broadband Telephone Service?
Because INVIVNI Broadband Telephone Service is digital, INVIVNI offers features and services that are not available with a traditional phone. If you have a broadband Internet connection, you need not maintain and pay the additional cost for a traditional land line just to make telephone calls.
Can I Use My Computer While I Talk on the Phone?
Yes however, a router is required.
Can I Take My Phone Adapter With Me When I Travel?
YES! You may use your INVIVNI service wherever you travel as long as you have a high-speed Internet connection available. In that case it would work the same as from your home or business.
Does My Computer Have To Be Turned On?
Not if you are making calls with a phone and adaptor, but your broadband Internet connection needs to be active. You can also use your computer while talking on the phone.
How Do I Know If I have a Phone Call?
